This month EC Cambridge trialled a new competition called ‘Who helped you learn the most?’ We asked our EC students learning English to vote for someone within EC who has helped them learn the most for the month of August. The students could choose anyone they like. It could be there teacher, host family, a member of our admin team or even another student. So after a lot of counting and verification we are happy to announce that the first winner of who helped you learn the most was one of our teachers Max Mazzoli! Congratulations to Max!
Last week Ingrid Rubiano finished her English course at EC Cambridge at Upper intermediate after a 28 week long course. During her time at EC Cambridge she also served as a student ambassador and was a valuable addition to the EC team. Sadly this week she finished her course and will return to her native Colombia. Ingrid, thank you for all your hard work and congratulations on reaching Upper Intermediate level. Anyway enough from me, here is some words from Ingrid herself. I chose to study in England because I like the British English, their culture and infrastructure, it is a beautiful country and I chose Cambridge on account of their important academic history in the world and their different activities. I chose EC because the institute had a good reputation and international recognitions. At the moment I’m living in a host family to me is a good option and my family is wonderful; with them I’m learning the English culture and they offer me the opportunity to use my English. I recommend EC Cambridge because it is a good English institute and for me the class, installations, teachers, staff and my new friends are fantastic, the interaction with the city and free activities for example bowling, punting and visits to different locations are so important to me and my learning process.
At EC Cambridge as well as providing English Courses we try to ‘Help students succeed in a global community’. Here Martina from Italy talks about her time in Cambridge and some of the other students cultures she got to know. I learnt to speak better. My favourite activity was punting because you saw Cambridge’s college and it was so funny. The lessons was fantastic and funny. The teacher was very good. My friends come from Germany, Spain, Czech Republic and Italy. If you are interested in an English Course at EC, check out our website!
Noelia studied an English Course on our Young Learners Programme for three weeks this Summer. Here she tells us about her experience. I’ve been here in EC Cambridge for 3 weeks and it was worth every second, my lessons were incredible and dynamic with my teacher, Chris, he is by far the best one I’ve ever had. Our activities are very interesting, especially when we learn more about British culture or history. The attention given to us by the EC team makes us feel like home and definitely makes me want to come back next year and stay more! The friends I’ve made here are unforgettable and even if I sadly don’t see them again, they’ll be forever in my heart along with all the rich memories I’ve made.
