Sina joins us for six months on an internship. Here she tells us a little about herself and studying English. Hello Everyone! I am Sina and I am one of the new interns here at EC Cambridge. I come from Saarbruecken, Germany where I study English and German to become a teacher for the secondary school. I will be with EC Cambridge till the end of March and after that I will go back to Germany and continue my studies there. By spending six months here in Cambridge, I want to improve my English skills, especially get more practice in speaking English. It will also be a great opportunity to meet a lot of people from other countries and other cultures, which might be really interesting. I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, watching football and meeting my friends and family. I know that spending time abroad can be really difficult and exciting, so if you have any questions or concerns or if you would just like someone to talk to don’t hesitate to come and talk to me whenever you need help. See you
This week we thought we would give our students learning English in Cambridge a chance to sample some English Cuisine with our new activity, flavour of the week! This week we started off with some traditional English Sweets. Rhubarb and Custard, Pear Drops, Mint Humbugs and Assorted Toffee’s. These brought a mixed reaction from our students but were mostly enjoyed. They are still there if you want to try them!
Every Month EC Students Studying English at EC Cambridge, have a chance to nominate the person who has helped them learn the most. This could be their teacher, their host family, another student or a member of the admin team. This month the winner was Mark Thompson one of our most experienced and valued teachers! Congratulations Mark! If you want experience one of Mark’s classes or join any of our English Language Course, check out our website!
