EC Cape Town Celebrates Mandela Day 18 July 2014

Sharing is caring!

In commemoration to the late great former president  Tata Madiba, we at EC Cape Town have  joined in for the International celebration to honor Nelson Mandela’s kind and good heart by serving 67 minutes of goodwill. We have done  this by providing soup and bread for the less fortunate from the comfort of our EC Cape Town school. Tata Madiba always saw deep into the hearts of the people of his country, he chose peace over war, love over discrimination and equality over injustice, a legacy that cannot be replaced!

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. Its is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”- Nelson Mandela

Many thanks to all of the students, teachers and staff members of EC Cape Town for coming out and making this insignificant yet heart-warming gesture possible. It doesn’t take much to show that you care and even less to feed a hungry person! Nelson Mandela left the world with many wise words and even greater acts of kindness, these words and actions will remain with everyone, from all walks of life for the rest of time! We salute you Tata Madiba!
