The 23rd April is St George’s Day in England. This is particularly special because St George is the patron saint of England (he is also the patron saint of many other countries too). Legend has it that he slayed dragons although the facts suggest he was a roman soldier famous for upholding his faith.

We celebrated St Georges day at EC London by having an English dinner in our cafe (only £6.50 each, including wine and a cocktail!) followed by a night at the prestigious Pascha nightclub in London’s Westend (FREE entry for students !). In total we had about 300 students there and it was a great night, or great “Knight” if you want to refer to the General Manager, Bernard pictured below in his “St George costume”.
