From Our Writing Skills Elective…

Yesterday, I had 3 countries represented in my writing elective: Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Japan. From each of these countries, I learned interesting sayings and phrases, some of which were funny and others that got me thinking. I’ve listed one from each country; try to guess which one is from which country! (Then scroll down to see the answers.) 🙂

“Everything is ok in the end. If it’s not ok, it’s not the end.”

“If you lie down after a meal, you will become a cow.”

“A bird in your hand is better than ten in a tree.”
