I am an Angeleno through and through. Born in Mexico City, I grew up in Los Angeles most of my life speaking both Spanish and English. In high school, I took my first French lesson and fell in love with language learning. This interest encouraged me to study French and linguistics at UCLA and it opened the doors to European travels via studies in Bordeaux and Paris, France.

The time I spent abroad left a life-changing impression on me and shaped my professional goals. Upon returning, I decided I wanted to support world citizens in their international education endeavors. I have worked helping international students come to the US to study English, American university students study abroad, and taught English to Japanese high school students in Kanazawa, Japan.

When I’m not helping ECLA students at the front desk, you can find me strolling through farmer’s markets, cooking for friends and family, trying out the latest restaurants and watering-holes, riding LA’s improving transportation system, or simply playing a competitive game around town.

If you are thinking of studying English in the US, come to EC Los Angeles. Our teachers are eager to work with you in our state-of-the-art classrooms! As a bonus, your classes are located walking distance to excellent food, shopping, and more importantly the beach! Los Angeles has so much to offer you, outdoor movie screenings, music and art venues, and once again, a mix of world-class food you cannot find anywhere else!
