“The Earth Day”. In 1969 John McConell founded the Day of the Earth, he believed humans have an obligation to take care of the earth. He felt it necessary to propose a holiday in which we celebrate the Earth’s life and beauty. He also intended Earth Day to alert people about the need for preserving and renewing the threatened ecological system. Try to protect the atmosphere!! Reuse, reduce, recycle … ‘Every person can help and make a difference’.
Pollution hurts every living being on Earth. Human activities are the main factors which contribute to land pollution, industrial waste, exploitation of minerals, and improper use of soil by inadequate agricultural practices. Herbicides, for example, used to kill weeds. Every year millions of tons of toxic chemicals are released into the land, air and water. It’s time to start preventing pollution!!
