Student Testimonial: Ligia

Ligia, from Brazil, has been doing an English course at EC Manchester English Centre for 2 weeks. In her country she is an English teacher. So, her point of view is really interesting. Actually the whole EC team is so kind and polite! I’ll always remember my good times I spent in the classroom with my mates, the commune area which we used to hang around together and all the people from all over the world I met on EC Manchester. Thank you guys for everything. You’ve made my life here much happier!”   Thank you very much Ligia! It was great meeting you. Must visit: Afflecks

Some students from EC’s English school in Manchester really like this place. Not only because it’s a perfect place to shop with Halloween on your doorstep, but also for the people who like either vintage clothing or rock/punk clothing. But even if that’s not something you like, it’s still a fun place to visit once and walk around. It’s a big old building and all the shops are spread throughout the rooms and halls of the building. It’s really cosy and there are a lot of different things to see. It’s certainly fun to go and visit when you have some spare time!

Trip: Liverpool

Sunday, 11th October 2015 – Liverpool Yesterday 22 students and 2 interns of the English school Manchester visited Liverpool. We visited the Cathedral, the Beatles story, the Albert Dock and the Cavern Club. Some of the students went to see the Anfield stadium, while others went to see the Museum of Liverpool. It was a lovely day and a great group to go with. Irene Rios Pastor wanted to share her opinion about the trip and about Liverpool: “Liverpool is known as the cradle of the Beatles. The Cavern is the most impressive place and it is an obligatory visit for The Beatles’ fans. You can enjoy The Beatles’ live music and to be on the same stage where Chuck Berry, Queen and The Rolling Stones played. There are other places to visit like Albert Dock, a relaxing place where you can walk or read a book, the Liverpool’s Cathedral or Anfield Stadium. After walking around the city, I can say I am in love with Liverpool, I love old buildings full of amazing stories, streets with typical English pubs and live music everywhere. In Liverpool, all you need is love!”

Ambassador Testimonial: Reboo

Hello, My name is Mohamed Ermali, I’m an student ambassador at EC Manchester. I came here in January. At first it was really difficult to understand the people, but now I think I’m really good, because at the Manchester English Centre they have really good teachers. They always do everything to help you! Now, if anyone asks me, I will tell them I’m having a really good experience! Of course I will tell them to come to EC Manchester, because, honestly, it’s the best! Thank you for everything. Reboo

Must go: Almost Famous

Everyone who is fan of a delicious, big, greasy burger should go to Almost Famous. It’s the best burger place in town. Though you pay around 10 pounds for a burger, it’s totally worth it. The first thing you think when you see the burger in front of you is: How am I going to eat this? Just squeeze it a little and take a really big bite. The flavours explode in your mouth, leaving you wanting more and more. The burgers aren’t the only reason to go to this place. The music is great, the location is perfect and the ambiance is fantastic. The restaurant looks great with graffiti on the wall, the lights just a little dimmed and the food presented in a way that reminds you of America. In short: go to Almost Famous if you’re craving for a perfectly made burger! At EC’s English School in Manchester we enjoy a lot of dinner parties with the students there, so we can guarantee you that it’s good.
