What a Saturday! For the first time since the TLA program began we had to say our goodbyes to some of our Residence students. Eight farewells in one day is not an easy task!! We already miss you all and it will not be the same here without you… but we are all moving on to new adventures and, as the song says, “ce n’est qu’un aurevoir!” We look forward to keeping in touch 🙂
Those of us still here in Residence decided that we needed a distraction from how small our dinner table had become and what better way to heal a heavy heart than with Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival? As we got off at Place des Arts metro, we were instantly entertained by Les LOL Brothers who made us giggle, dance and gasp. We then moseyed over to the main stage where a huge crowd was gathering for the free Star Academie show! Thanks Montreal, for always having something to offer 🙂
We woke up refreshed. The students went off to take in the sights and sounds of ‘Tam-Tams’ at Mont Royal and when they got back, the group which had shrunk yesterday had grown once more. Our new arrival was welcomed in Residence style with Sunday night pizza followed by a Wii dance-off in our awesome fourth floor common room (where pool, ping pong and foosball tables are always available).
So we say goodbye to our friends who are now home safe and remain very present in our memories and hearts… and we say hello to newly arrived friends-in-the-making. Here’s to three more weeks!
