Thanksgiving Activity: Our Tree of Gratitude

Sharing is caring!

This past Monday was our Canadian Thanksgiving.  A time to get together with loved ones and reflect on everything we have to be thankful for.  We decided to create a very positive vibe in the school by asking our students to write on a small orange pumpkin what they are most grateful for and to hang their comment on our tree in the student lounge.  We called it our Tree of Gratitude.  The students loved this idea.  It allowed them to focus on what they do have as opposed to what they don’t.  It was such an uplifting experience to read the messages of gratitude.  A lot mentioned how thankful to have the opportunity to study in Canada, to be here in Montreal, to have friends and family who love them, for their health.

The Tree of Gratitude is still on display in the student lounge with all these positive message.  It will remain there until the end of the month.  Any time we feel stressed or blue, we simply need to take a stroll to our student lounge and feel engerzied by all this positivity!
