Our New Student Ambassador: Karen Daniela

Meet the latest member of our Student Ambassador team, Karen Daniela Gonzalez Zipa! Karen has been taking English classes with us since July. She is energetic, friendly and a fun person to be around. Here are a few words from her:   “I would like to be a Student Ambassador because I would like to be able to meet new people and help them with their questions about the school or the city. Furthermore, I can practice and improve my skills in English and even in French. In addition, I know it is very difficult to start a new life far away from  your family, so I want to contribute and help the school with all the things that the newcomers and students might need.” We are very happy to have you on board as the latest addition to our Student Ambassadors team!   Follow the link if you want to take English or French Classes in Montreal 🙂

Fuka Miyao – Kind Staff and Teachers

Fuka Miyao is a student from Japan who came to learn French and English abroad at EC Montreal. Here is what she would like to share about her learning experience at EC Montreal: I chose this destination because I saw photos on the internet and thought they were really pretty. My improvement shows because finally I have the courage to converse in the language I am learning. My favorite activity was the Mont-Royal hiking because the scenery at night was beautiful. EC Montreal’s Soulful November – An Introduction to Yoga

Last Wednesday we held our 4th soulful November activity – an introduction to Yoga.  We were asked by the meditation and yoga instructor, Anastasia, to select a room that was peaceful, silent and warm.  She wanted to create the perfect zen environment for her class.  We were so happy to see several EC Montreal students participating in this activity. We began the class with some breathing exercises.  We were asked to inhale and exhale being aware of all our joints and body parts from our toes to our heads.  We were taught the mountain pose that became the foundation for all our exercises.  We performed the warrior I, warrior II and the tree poses. We stretched every part of our body while breathing and relaxing.  We could feel every single muscle.  Anastasia spoke in a very soothing and meditating voice.  Throughout the class she would remind us to be aware of our body and to be grateful for our limbs. We ended the class with a long relaxation, again from our toes right to our scalps not forgetting every single part of our bodies and our faces. It was a lovely introduction to yoga and a much appreciated break from our daily routine.  Join our French classes in Montreal and be part of our weekly fun! Namaste…

Afternoon Tea at EC Montreal!

Last Wednesday, EC Montreal organized a tea party for our students.  We decorated each table with a tea kettle, assorted teas and biscuits.  It was nice to have something warm and comforting to drink on a cold November day. EC Montreal loves to create these opportunities for our students to interact with one another and to make friends.  Every month offers a different theme.  November is all about feeding the mind, body and soul!  It is all about comfort food and “feel good” activities. We look forward to treating our mind and body to a yoga workout this week!  When you sign up for French classes in Montreal, you are signing up to an amazing adventure!
