Happy Thursday everyone!
Today at EC Montreal was the project presentation and evaluation day of our Young Learners program and “Create a nation” themed week!
Yesterday, our young learners got creatively sticky building their marshmallow spaghetti towers to represent their Nation’s capital.
The young learners and I had so much fun with this spaghetti and marshmallow challenge! I am amazed at how incredible, artistic, and grand the towers turned out to be.
After designing their original nation’s homes and structures, the young learners created the people, history, towns, economy, and laws of their imaginary countries. In this exercise, the students continued perfecting their use of modal verbs and learned how to state grammatically correct descriptions in a persuasive tone.
Next, was the final group presentations of the their nations. The young learners presented their completed nation as a tourist advertisement. The teams designed and created colorful posters, brochures, and even wrote catchy mottoes and jingles to represent their beautiful nations! The project presentations were absolutely amazing! The EC team and I are so impressed with the Young Learners innovative ideas and talent!
After lunch, the young learners ventured to Montreal’s Botanical Garden to experience the beautiful “Butterflies go free” exhibition.
Like real adventurers, the young learners also learned how to write and send postcards. They then completed their very own postcards to send home to their families in Mexico!
I applaud the young learners for their creativity and all their hard work.
Bravo! The EC team and I are very proud of you!
