Our EC Montreal students will be thrilled to learn that Montreal made it on another best city list! TimeOut, which is a global media and entertainment business has named Montreal the 6th best city in the world! They polled 34,000 residents from around the glob as well as their very own editors. They asked the respondents questions about dining, drinking, culture, nightlife, relationships, community, local neighborhoods and overall happiness. Based on the results, Montreal came in 6th place after New York City, Melbourne, Chicago, London and LA. The only other Canadian city to make the list was Toronto. They came in 23rd place.
The survey also looked at urban culture, music, sociability, happiness, progress, attractiveness and a few other qualities.
TimeOut explained that Montreal ranked high because it is “a top destination for letting your freak flag fly” and “it is one of the best cities in the world to just be yourself”.
