Frozen Treats on a Hot Summer Day in Montreal!

Sharing is caring!

Montreal is experiencing tropical weather this week.  It is hot and humid.  Temperatures with the humid x factor are well over 40 degrees.  It is important to stay cool on days like this by limiting the time spent outdoors.  We encourage our students to use the underground passageways and tunnels to travel around the city and to stay in air conditioned locations.  Montreal does not have a shortage of public swimming pools.  It is the perfect way to stay cool and comfortable.  It is also advised to drink plenty of liquids, especially water, to stay hydrated.  If you don’t have a sun hat, it is a good idea to purchase one.  A baseball cap or straw hat will do the trick to avoid heat or sun stroke.  The dollar store right downstairs has a large variety of summer hats to choose from.  They also sell refrigerated drinks like water and soda to keep you cool.

In our efforts to keep our students cool on such a scorcher of a day, we decided to serve our students frozen treats as our complimentary activity.  We had beach pails filled to the rim with ice pops and other fruity and chocolaty treats!  The students were so happy to get a sweet treat after class.  Some came back for a second or a third treat and were so appreciative of this gesture!  Our students tell us that they really look forward to the Wednesday activities!  We love surprising our students with these special gestures.  We want them to feel comfortable and at home with us at EC.

We look forward to our beach day activity next week when we will be serving beach party foods like chips, lemonade and watermelon!

Join us this summer at EC Montreal and we will fill your stay with so many wonderful surprises!
