Alejandra Sandoval is the on EC Montreal’s Team of Student Ambassadors!

EC Montreal’s student ambassador programme is becoming more and more popular!  We keep getting student volunteering to join and we are loving it!  We are so happy to introduce you to one of our new student ambassadors; Alejandra Sandoval.  Here is a little something she wanted to share with everyone: Hi, my name is Alejandra Sandoval, I’m a Colombian girl and I have 18 years old. I decided to come to Canada because I’m interested in different languages and I know that Canada will be the best option, for learning and advance my knowledge in French and English. I arrived in Montreal 6 weeks ago and in this short time I noticed that EC let me know different cultures and awesome people. Equally, until now, my experience has been unforgettable, and I want to share it with new students. In these weeks in EC school I’m studying French and English by different classes but also in free time and activities outside the school, for this reason I have been so pleased with this city. I am very excited to start being an EC ambassador because I like to teach and learn from people who will start this great experience. I hope to enjoy all the moments and experiences that come with new EC students and I know that together we will learn a lot!   Our Montreal French courses are waiting for you too!

Eunjeong Yang Joins our Team of Student Ambassadors!

We are delighted to introduce you to Eunjeong Yang.  She is the newest member of our team of student ambassadors!  She is eager to fulfill her role at EC Montreal in welcoming our new students and helping our students make friends.  Here is a little something from Eunjeong: Hello, my name is Eunjeong Yang and my English name is Isabel. Most of my school friends call me Isabel. I am from South Korea and I am 22 years old. I have been studying in EC Montreal for 7 months. I came to Montreal to study English and French because I thought Montreal would be the best city to study both of languages and there are many advantages of being able to meet and communicate with various nationalities of friends compare to other cities in Canada. Montreal is a city that uses both languages, English and French. Sometimes it makes students who want to learn only English feel panic, but it could be unique and attractive experiences. So, I think from those advantages, we would get a lot of things, not only studying but also learning culture etc. compare to other students who study other cities. When I was in Korea, I did volunteer work to teach Korean for foreign workers who work in Korea. They felt very difficult and uncomfortable to communicate with people in Korea because they couldn’t speak Korean well. So, I felt it was very rewarding to help them get used to it. When I first arrived in Montreal, I could feel about foreign workers’ feeling who I taught. It was very hard to adapt to other country, but thanks to many friends were around me, I was able to have fun every day and made a lot of progress during the seven months. I think other … Read more

Kayoung Jung Joins our Team of Student Ambassadors!

We are delighted to introduce you to our new student ambassador; Kayoung Jung!  We are confident our EC Montreal students will feel very welcomed on their first day by Kayoung!  She is excited to be part of the team and wants all our students to know that they already have a friend at EC from their very first day!  Here is a little something from Kayoung: Hello, my name is Kayoung Jung from Korea, 21 years old. I studied hospitality management in Korea. I learned about how to help and service to people. Also, I like helping people as well as getting to know other cultures by talking to various nationalities of people. I have been studying in EC for 7 months. During the period, I have made lots of different counties’ friends and I have been having a great time with them. The reason why I chose Montreal was that they speak 2 languages which are English and French.  I felt this is so attractive and I thought at the same time, I would get more chances than studying in other cities. Furthermore, speaking 2 languages make the city unique which means is you can get unusual experiences that you might not be able to feel in other cities. I want to become a Student Ambassador because I love to make friends and know different cultures also helping people. When I came here at first, I had quite a hard time to be used to a class and making friends because everything was new for me. However, I can say now I am totally adapt it and enjoying it. In this process, I was able to get the experience about how to be accustomed to class and everything so based on my experiences, I want to help people as … Read more
