We are delighted to introduce you to EC Montreal’s new student ambassador; Jose Luis Gonzalez. Jose Luis began his language adventure in Montreal on October 5, 2019. He is participating in EC Montreal’s General English programme. He first placed in our pre-intermediate class and has made so much progress during his stay. He is now in our upper-intermediate level! We are so proud of his achievements in improving his language skills. Jose Luis approached us this week to volunteer to be a student ambassador. We are confident Jose Luis will do an excellent job at welcome our new students and being a friend to all his school mates.
Here is a little something from Jose Luis:
My name is Jose Luis Gonzalez. I’m from Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. I was born and grew up in that place with a lot of tradition, which taught me to be humble with people, however, one of my dilemmas since I was a child is why some people have a more difficult life than mine, so, from a very young age I liked helping people, this led me to teach in the church and be a guide for teenagers, which I started doing at 17 and today at 19 I continue doing, because it makes me feel good to support him and give them a Little of my knowledge.
Being a teacher is not easy, especially if you study an Engineering as it is my case, because the 2 things take a lot of time, but above all effort. I am used to being like that to work hard and help others without expecting anything in return, that way I grew up and therefore I would like to be an ambassador at EC Montreal to help new students to integrate and especially so that they know what to do despite Being away from home can also find a family here.
