June Teachers of the Month!

We are thrilled to announce our June virtual teachers of the month at EC Montreal!  Normally, every month, our EC Montreal student ambassadors distribute voting ballots to the entire student population.  The ballot asks two simple questions; who was  your favourite teacher and why?  They why is an important question to ask as this has allowed us to collect so many wonderful comments about our teachers.  Every month students take the time to let us know why they love their teacher.  They tell us about how passionate they are, how they love teaching, how they are patient and kind, how they motivate them and inspire them in the classroom every day.

Now that we have transitioned to online learning, our teachers have had to create a lot more enthusiasm with the virtual lessons to keep our students motivated and engaged.  They began teaching online without skipping a beat.  Not only are they helping our students excel in their language learning but they have also been a great support to them during this stressful time.  Just because we are not at our physical school at the moment, it does not mean we will forget to honour and celebrate our wonderful team of teachers who have been doing such an excellent job on EC Virtual.

We created a poll on Facebook for students to cast their votes.  We used a simple drop down menu an named all our teachers who are teaching on EC Virtual.  The polls officially closed yesterday and we were delighted to see the winning teachers; Olga and Essadia!  Both are no strangers to this victory.  They have won this title many times before.

EC Montreal has announced a return to school date of August 31.  When we return it will be a hybrid model to begin with.  This is in order to limit our physical time onsite.  Our teachers are excited to come back to the classroom to teach our students and are equally excited to keep teaching English and French online.
