On the same day that the United States of America declared a new President elect, Joe Biden, a report done annually by U.S. News & World Report, BAV Group and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania named Canada the second-best country in the world! The report looked at perceptions of seventy-three countries around the world and found that Canada excelled as a country specifically in the areas of quality of life, entrepreneurship, citizenship, health care, education and a stable economy and political landscape.
We have a lot to celebrate at our three Canadian EC destinations! We want to shout it from the roof tops that Canada is the best country to visit, live in and study in! International students are considered essential travelers and there are new study permits being issued! This is great news for our students wanting a full immersion experience. We have also learned that the IRCC is granted study permits to students who are studying for less than six months. You simply need to include a letter with your study permit application explaining why you want a study permit even though you don’t require one. EC Montreal has prepared a template letter that our students can use so they can apply for their CAQ and study permit easily.
Once our students arrive in Canada, they must undergo a 14-day quarantine. While they are in quarantine, they can study with EC virtual in either English or French! Actually, our students can begin their EC studies before they even arrive in Canada from the comfort of their homes. They will not only get a taste of the language, but they will also get a taste of the destination as they will be placed in classes with students who are already attending EC Montreal’s in person lessons. There are so many wonderful possibilities for our students to explore.
We want to congratulation Switzerland for taking the top spot on the list of best countries in the world. They scored a perfect 10 score. Canada was just shy of taking the top prize with an astounding score of 9.9.
