Twelve Days of Christmas in Montreal!

Sharing is caring!

I am sure you are familiar with the classic song “The twelve days of Christmas”.  It is a popular song and there have been many different versions made.  I recently watched a Hallmark Christmas movie named the twelve dates of Christmas.  It got me thinking about how absolutely wonderful it is to spend Christmas in Montreal!  Even during a pandemic with many government restrictions, there are so many ways to celebrate the holiday season in this beautiful and vibrant city!

So, here are my suggestions for your 12 days of Christmas in Montreal:

On the first day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you, a stroll through the enchanted Christmas forest at the Quartier des Spectacles.  There you will find so many beautiful Christmas displays, food vendors and hand made arts and crafts.

On the second day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a Christmas cookie baking lesson with the Lincoln Apartment Bakery.  Learn to make gorgeous cookies to enjoy and to give away as presents.

On the third day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a shopping spree in Montreal’s impressive underground shopping center.  You will be blown away by the decorations and holiday displays.  Give yourself a gift or two and don’t forget a Montreal souvenir for your loved ones back home too.

On the fourth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a stroll through Old Montreal’s traditional German Christmas market.  Every street and every corner you turn will be a magical Christmas postcard.

On the fifth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a visit to the Atwater Christmas village.  There you will find so many food vendors, hot chocolate, gourmet coffee and other tasty treats too!

On the sixth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a take out dinner box from one of the best restaurants in the world; that’s right, the world!  Joe Beef on Notre Dame blvd. is almost impossible to get a reservation, but now that the dining rooms are closed, they are open for take out orders!  They don’t have a set menu, the cook what’s in season and only with local ingredients.  It is not cheap, but it’s Christmas, and we all deserve to treat ourselves to a really, really good meal!

On the seventh day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a nature walk up Mount-Royal.  With snow covering the trails and the trees surrounding the mountain, you will feel like you are walking in a winter wonderland!  Make sure you walk up to the summit, where you can get a spectacular view of the city!

On the eight day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you, a visit to the Jean-Talon Christmas market.  You can treat yourself to holiday goodies and enjoy the live musical performers.

On the ninth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you, a visit to the traditional Italian Christmas market, Richmond, located on Richmond street.  You will find Italian treats and gifts.

On the tenth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you, a Netflix Christmas movie marathon!  If you do a search for “Christmas” you will find countless holiday movies to enjoy with a bowl of popcorn and hot chocolate.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a visit to Montreal’s Christmas shop called Noel Eternelle.  It is Christmas all your long at this Christmas boutique.  You can pick up decorations, ornaments and souvenirs.  I buy a Christmas ornament in every city I visit and when I decorate my tree every year, I remember all my travels and beautiful memories.  I recommend this collection to everyone who loves to travel.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, EC Montreal recommends to you; a rewarding visit to one of Montreal’s food banks or soup kitchens.  The best way to feel connected to Montreal is to give back by donating items or your time.  These charitable organizations are hurting more than every this year.  The next time you are at a grocery store or dollar store, pick up a few extra items to donate to  those in need.  They are asking for non-perishable food items, toiletries or new toys for kids of all ages.  EC Montreal collects items for Sun Youth.

I challenge you to get all these twelve EC Montreal recommendations for your twelve days of Christmas in magical Montreal!
