EC Montreal is currently offering a blended learning schedule as part of our safety measures. Students can enjoy in person lessons three times a week and learn online from the comfort of home two days per week. This measure limits our physical time at the center and on public transportation. Being able to roll right out of bed and log on to Microsoft Teams to enjoy the virtual lessons has really allowed our students to relax and get a bit of a break on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The time they save on commuting on those two days, they spend exploring the city of Montreal after class. The city is slowly starting to lift some restrictions so students can enjoy going to museums, tourist attractions, public pools, libraries and shopping malls. The restaurants are still closed but most are offering special take out and delivery options.
Covid cases in the province of Quebec are shrinking and we are confident that by late spring or early summer, we will be almost back to normal. Quebec has also really sped up the vaccination roll out this week and with the majority of the senior population being vaccinated, the threat of spreading the virus to the most vulnerable will be significantly diminished.
