New York City is well known for its pizza. There are literally hundreds of different pizzerias spread throughout this great city. With that being said, being able to stand out from the rest of the pack is definitely a challenge.
Adrienne’s pizza bar in downtown NYC manages to stand out very well. Some would consider this pizzeria among the best in town. Their pizza is VERY thin and light. The sauce is very flavorful. But unlike the typical NY slice you shouldn’t be afraid to eat this one with a knife and fork. In fact, I recommend that you do. The pizza is so thin that it can get a little moist and droopy in the middle if you try to pick it up. Show some class, don’t be ashamed, and pick up that knife and fork!
Pizza, beer, wine, cocktails.
Coming here will be a good time. But there are a few things to keep in mind. If you want to come here for lunch, make sure to come just before noon or after 1:30 to avoid the mad dash of the lunch crowd. When you order your pizza, you must order by the pie… so come hungry! And for reference, I have easily eaten an entire pie on multiple occasions. Although they are big, they are very thin and light and easy to pack away. My personal favorite is the grandma pie with Hot peppers and Sausage. (See picture above)
