Aline Moraes De Almeida Neves is from Brazil. She has been studying at EC New York from July 24th and will continue studying until next January. We asked her about her experience here and this is what she said:
What does she do in the country?
She recently graduated from her university. Her major was bio medicine.
Why is she studying English?
She is studying English because she wants to get a good score on the TOEFL exam. In Brazil, people who receive good scores on this exam have more opportunities to get good jobs.
What is the best thing about living or studying in NY?
NY is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world. There are many people from all over the world in NY. She can easily make new friends from all over the world and know many different cultures through conversation with them. She loves Broadway shows and she can easily go to watch them here. She has already watched them several times.
What does she like the best about EC?
She thinks that the teachers are great. They always try to make classes fun and interesting. They also prepare for every class well. She likes the different ways of teaching. She has many chances to talk with students in her class and she can improve her speaking in the class a lot.
What plans does she have after she graduates here?
She will take the TOEFL exam and then go back to her country, Brazil.
What does she recommend to do in NY?
She recommends to go to famous museums because there are many kinds of museums here and they are interesting. She also recommends to watch Broadway shows. In addition, there are many free events that everyone can easily join in so she recommends to join in them.
