Hinako decided to come to our New York English Center after studying at our school in San Diego. Hinako Abe is originally from Hiroshima, where she studies Physics. Hinako decided to come to New York so that she could improve her English enough to receive a good score on her exams. She has always been interested in foreign languages, and she thinks that English in the most international language in the world. In addition, she chose to come to New York because it’s one of the biggest cities in the world and it’s the center of the world. She got inspired to come to the Big Apple after watching a movie called Madam In New York.
Since coming to New York, she has really enjoyed living and studying here. According to Hinako, you can find whatever you want here. The transportation is good so you can go wherever you want. Hinako also loves the neighborhood that she lives in. Everyone she meets with is so friendly and she has great conversations with them, which really helps to improve her English. She also thinks that she’s improving her English at EC New York because there are so many students from different countries. She loves that she is the only Japanese student in her class, which gives her a lot of opportunities to practice her English.
After she studies at EC New York, Hinako plans to go back to Japan, study in her University again, and possibly job-hunt as well! When she’s not studying, Hinako enjoys hanging out with her friends, shopping, and going to museums. Her favorite museums in New York are the Met and the American Museum of Natural History. She especially enjoys the American Museum of Natural History because there is a planetarium and it is amazing.
