What is President’s Day?

So, we had the day off on Monday for President’s Day.. but why?

President’s Day is George Washington’s birthday and is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February.

It started out as a celebration of George Washington’s birthday but has no transformed into a day to honor all past and present President’s.

Some states view it as a holiday to celebrate all Presidents, some just Washington, some just Abraham Lincoln, and some both Washington and Lincoln.

We were fortunate enough to have the day off, so we hope everyone enjoyed it!

What did you do on your day off?
