UK STUDY TOURS – December Christmas Highlights

Christmas time in the UK and Europe is truly a magical experience, and with the festive season fast approaching there are many wonderful opportunities to see some great places in all their Christmas glory and do some Christmas shopping!

Bath Christmas Lights

Bath is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK offering stunning Roman Baths, great shops and beautiful architecture. On this trip you will have the opportunity to do a tour of the city, and spend the afternoon browsing around over 200 market stalls by the historic Bath Abbey. Just a short drive from Oxford, this is a great chance to do some Christmas shopping and get into the Christmas spirit.

Brussels and Cologne Christmas Markets

Visit the world-famous Cologne Christmas Market set in the shadow of the amazing Cathedral, which is home to the remains of the Three Wise Kings who visited the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. There are over 200 market stalls here selling a whole range of beautifully handcrafted gifts, illuminated by thousands of twinkling Christmas Lights. After shopping, enjoy a glass of delicious ‘Glühwein’: a warming and sweet wine and eat some tasty German sausages, such as Currywurst or Bratwurst.
After staying in Germany for one night the tour takes you to nearby Brussels, where you will have a chance to visit some of the famous sights the city has to offer, including The Royal Palace and The Grand Place. The trip leaves Oxford on Friday night and returns on Sunday evening, so you can still be back at school for your English Course on Monday morning! This is not a trip to be missed!

Bicester Village

A shopper’s heaven! Located just 20 minutes away from Oxford, Bicester Village is home to over 130 outlet shops selling designer clothes and accessories for a fraction of the price – up to 60% discount on many famous brands. Snap up a bargain for your friends and family or treat yourself to a Christmas present!
