Book Review

Sharing is caring!

EC San Diego is proud to offer free library services to our students!  You can check out a book anytime and read at your leisure.  We recommend reading one book every two weeks.  We are always accepting suggestion, recommendations and donations.

Julie Caze, an eighteen year old student from France, recently checked out “The Devil Wears Prada” by Lauren Weisberger from our library.  Here is what she had to say about the book:

What was the main theme of the book?

The main theme of the book was fashion and snobbery.

From which point of view was the book written?

The book is written from the point of the view of the main character, Andrea. She works for “the devil” (Miranda) at a fashion magazine.

What was your favorite part of the book?

My favorite part was when Andrea realizes that her family and friends are more important than her job.  So she disobeys Miranda and starts making her own choices.

Would you recommend this book to other students?

Yes, I would recommend this book because it shows the unforgiving world of fashion and the life that assistants lead.  Furthermore, it is fairly easy to read and understand.

Julie really enojyed reading this book!
