As a native San Diegan, I never knew how much of a paradise San Diego really is until I left it! Teaching English in Japan for a couple of years helped me realize this, but more importantly, sparked my passion for teaching English. Upon my return from living and working abroad, I started as a teacher here at EC San Diego. Over the last three years, I have grown and developed as a teacher as I helped my students grow and develop as learners. During your stay, the hope is for you to grow and develop as much as you can. And what better place to do so than in San Diego!
The staff, teachers, and students at EC San Diego are very friendly and sociable! This makes it easy to look forward to seeing everyone everyday. Although we promote an English learning atmosphere, there is always more to learn in addition to English! Our school has a semi-flexible schedule for both teachers and students, which has allowed me to go to work and take classes towards a Master’s Degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the same time. I have recently graduated so I am now on board as a full time teacher. I am looking forward to meeting and teaching you as I hope you are looking forward to having a great experience here at EC San Diego.
