The MCAS Miramar Air Show is the largest air show in the nation. The world’s best military and civilian pilots will soar through San Diego’s skies featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and the Marine Air Ground Task Force simulated combat demonstration. This 3-day event opened this morning at 8:00AM and will run through Sunday, October 14th, 2012. An estimated 500,000 people are expected. This year’s theme is Marines In Flight, Celebrating 50 years of Space Exploration. This will also be a great opportunity to get close the the Navy and Military pilots and get to see what they do.
Admission and parking are FREE. Get there early to find a parking spot.
Marine Corps Air Station is located about 15 miles north of downtown San Diego between Highways 805 and 15.
