8 things that make San Diego a great place to study English

            San Diego is filled with limitless options of places to go and see. Here are some things we recommend doing while enjoying your stay in San Diego.

1: La Jolla Cove

San Diego is filled with many breath taking views and beaches as photographed above. Sunset Cliffs is a great place to relax  and take in the beautiful view of the day turning into night. However, If your looking for shopping, bar hopping, and tanning Pacific Beach is the place to go. Lastly, La Jolla Cove is filled with beautiful scenery and wild life. Lucky for us the cove is only foot steps away from our school!

2. The San Diego Zoo

 The  zoo is located north of downtown, and is home to over 3,700 species. The San Diego Zoo is known for being home to the endangered panda bear as pictured above. The zoo also includes giraffes, panda bears, lions, leopards, gorilla’s, and many more incredible animals. Sign up at the front desk to discover these animals with EC on August 16th!

Petco Park, located in downtown is home to our beloved baseball team, the San Diego Padres. Baseball is a classic American pastime, and it’s always a fun time to cheer with friends and eat junk food! You’re not going to want to miss the game on August 29th, as we take on our rivals the Los Angeles Dodgers.

There are many beautiful places to go Kayaking in San Diego. One of the best spots is right here in the La Jolla Cove, as pictured above. The La Jolla Cove is a great place to kayak because of the scenic caves, and marine life. While kayaking you may run into some friendly sea creatures, such as dolphins, sea lions, and leopard sharks.

downtown5. Downtown San diego

Dowtown San Diego is the eighth largest city in America and has a abundance of things to do. Best known for the historic Gaslamp district, which contains many fabulous restraunts, pubs, nightclubs, and rooftop bars. Also, there are many other fun places to discover while in downtown, such as hidden speakeasies, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, and a barcade, which is a new age arcade.

SeaWorld is an animal theme park that has many shows and attractions based on sea creatures. While at the park you can see  many shows. Such as Shamu Rocks show as pictured above, go to the different exhibits which host either dolphins, turtles, penguins, or sharks, and lastly go on many of the fun rides.

Julian 27. Julian in San Diego’s East County

Julian is an official historic landmark, known for their delicious juicy apples. Great for a daytrip or weekend getaway, Julian is a quite town with antique shops, galleries, gold mines, and restaurants. Many of the shops in Julian center around apples, and include apple pies, hard and regular cider (as shown above), and candy apples. Julian is a great place to go hiking and get away from the city life.

8. Great Hiking

San Diego has many great places to hike, such as potato chip rock (top photograph), and Torrey Pines State Reserve (bottom photograph). Potato chip rock is an 8 mile hike, with a breathtaking view at the end, and awesome photo op. Torrey Pines State Reserve is another great place to hike with many different types of trails along the beach.
