Elisabeth Stallard

Nickname: Bird

Alma mater & degree of study: I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Health Science from Cal State University, San Bernardino. I received my Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University.

Favorite movie: My Favorite Movies are Legally Blonde and Pretty Woman. I’m a sucker for romantic comedies.

Favorite place to eat in San Diego: My favorite place to eat in San Diego is Island Prime. Fabulous food with a fabulous view. I also like this old, family owned Italian restaurant in PB called Pernicanos. It feels like you go back to the 1960’s, and they have the owner there every day that plays music on the piano and sings.

Favorite activity in San Diego: My favorite activity in San Diego is riding my bike along the boardwalk from Pacific Beach to Mission Beach.

Place you’d like to travel: I would love to visit Spain to see the amazing architecture and experience the culture.  I would love to learn how to Flamenco Dance, and perform the dance with a Spanish man in a town square in Seville.

Isabel Agnew

Nickname: Izzy

Alma mater & degree of study: University of San Diego, Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature & Creative Writing

Favorite movie:The First Wives Club, Wall-E, Pan’s Labyrinth, Amélie, and everything Hayao Miyazaki has ever made

Favorite place to eat in San Diego:  On the beach

Favorite activity in San Diego: Going to the beach /ocean-swimming! And of course going out dancing in Gaslamp or North Park.

Place you’d like to travel: Seriously, everywhere! Although a loop around the Mediterranean would be great – with some island-hopping in the middle.

Sophia Romeri

Nickname: Sophie or Sophie-Ophie

Alma mater & degree of study: I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Art History at SDSU. I am currently working on my graduate degree in School Counseling at PLNU.

Favorite movie: Oh gosh, I have so many! A few that come to mind are That Thing You Do, Almost Famous, Vicky & Christina Barcelona, and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days!

Favorite place to eat in San Diego: Anywhere in Little Italy

Favorite activity in San Diego: I absolutely love spending the day at Balboa Park. The architecture and landscape is beautiful and there’s so much to do! You can go to museums, watch movies, and visit the botanical gardens! My favorite museum there is the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA).

Place you’d like to travel: I believe my next travel destination will be somewhere in South America. Next summer, I hope to visit Peru and climb Machu Picchu! I’d also love to visit Iceland and see the aurora borealis!

Elisa Alves
