4 July in San Francisco

A quick reminder that Monday is a national holiday and so EC San Francisco will be closed. Because Independence Day this year falls on a Sunday, the following day (Monday) becomes a public holiday.

Independence Day, also called Fourth of July, commemorates the date in 1776 when America declared independence from Great Britain.

Across the city there will be a number events happening this weekend. When the sun goes down look out for the traditional firework displays – they’re always a highlight.

Head to the 26th Annual Fillmore Jazz Festival on the 3rd and 4th. This year’s entertainment continues the tradition of showcasing outstanding artists from across the Jazz spectrum. It’s a great couple of days and a unique way to celebrate Independence Day. Over 90,000 people are expected to attend.

See you there!
