International SUNY students and EC Fredonia students went to visit one of the wonders of the natural world. A quick bus ride north took them to Niagara Falls, the first State Park ever in the USA, established in 1885. Over 3,000 tons of water flows over the falls every second and our students got up close and personal. They rode The Maid of the Mist, a boat that gets so close to the crashing water that you need to wear a raincoat! Students enjoyed the scenic tour and lunch at the falls on one of our very first sunny spring days.
FREDONIA COLLEGE LODGE TRIP EC Fredonia students keep experiencing new things in Fredonia every day. Let’s talk about this adventurous trip. The Lodge trip was an overnight camping experience that included hiking, Kan-Jam, an American football lesson, and participation in the ropes course, which is a team building activity. We also had a bonfire at night and students roasted marshmallows and made s’mores (Yummy). The Lodge is located in Brocton, NY.
EC Fredonia Whitewater Rafting! EC Fredonia loves extreme sports! As you remember during winter, we went snow tubing, which was crazy and freezing but so much fun. Well, the weather is getting better in Western New York. Therefore our Campus Manager, Daniel Heckmyer and one of our teachers Michael Holmes led this amazing activity with 4 EC Students. This time our students experienced Whitewater rafting at Zoar Valley. They fought with the water over 3 hours. During this wilderness adventure they saw many different kinds of birds and wildlife. That sounds exhausting… but priceless.
