EC Fredonia is so very pleased to announce that for four weeks we will be hosting the Proyecta group of students from all the way from Mexico! Sponsored by the Mexican Government, these students have already been welcomed into the classroom and on our campus to learn here at EC and live in on-campus dormitories. The energetic group of students was ready to learn all about what EC has to offer on November 16th upon arriving and eager to begin, for some, their first international adventure. Students gathered in our student lounge and listened to presentations from Jacob Czelusta, Assistant Director of International Student Services here at Fredonia; as well as, Naomi Baldwin, Director of the International Education Office; and finally Robin Halicki, EC Fredonia’s Student Services Coordinator. After many presentations and introductions the students were provided with an on-campus tour to begin getting comfortable being On-campus at Fredonia!
During the tour, many students were curious about the food, clubs/organizations available and most importantly the weather in Fredonia. For many, it would be their first time experiencing the chilly temperatures of a local Fredonia winter. During the tour, we visited the Ice Rink and Naomi Baldwin, who accompanied me on the tour, and I urged them to experience the excitement of a hockey game before departing. Learning English On Campus at Fredonia has many perks! Students will be able to learn English for Academic Purposes here on a collegiate campus, as well as be granted the opportunity to go to local events, live on-campus, dine on-campus with local students and experience all that this small quaint village has to offer. EC Fredonia is honored to host such an intelligent group of students all the way from Mexico!
