Welcome Dora and Ted!

This week at EC Fredonia we welcomed two new students into our program. One female student from China named Dora, and Ted, a male student from South Korea. They started off their stay at Fredonia by getting to know the campus and meeting with one of our interns, Ryan. Ryan showed the two students many of the great services that Fredonia’s campus has to offer. From the two main dining halls on campus, Cranston Marche and Centre Point to the tutoring center offered on the fourth floor of Reed Library. On Monday morning, their first day of classes, the students were welcomed on the orange carpet to begin their journey at EC. They are both eager and excited to learn English with EC Fredonia and to explore all of the options the university and community have to offer. We are so excited to have Dora and Ted in our program and to give them a great EC experience! Find out more about English Language Courses in the USA

Calling All Musicians!

The State University of New York at Fredonia is nationally known for their music and arts program and this is just another way to make it stand out. Graduates of this program have become outstanding musical performers, teachers, and composers throughout the globe. Like many graduates have done, we are also making a musical piece. We are participating in a song contest! Currently we are in the making of a musical jingle about EC Fredonia and Fredonia’s University. In collaboration with students at EC we are formatting a tune to call our own. With a combination of everyone’s thoughts and feelings, we have come up with musical lyrics and beats that best stand for the close and friendly campus EC Fredonia has to offer. We are forming a group of international students to sing our song and to learn English in the US in a different and fun way! If you are interested in music or even doing something you may not have before, come help us out. It will be an exciting experience that will not only benefit you, but possibly will win a grand prize! We hope our song stands out among the rest and wins this contest!   English for Academic Purposes program

Meet Fredonia Intern Jordan

My name is Jordan Cuozzo and I am the Operations Intern for the spring 2016 semester. I’m originally from Rochester New York, about two hours northeast of Fredonia. Currently I’m a junior at Fredonia majoring in Economics and Business Administration with a minor in Leadership Studies. In my free time I enjoy cooking different types of food and exercising with friends. I’m interning at EC English hoping to gain real world business experience that will be beneficial in my future career and learn what different cultures have to offer. I look forward to learning and growing with EC  and the  English for Academic Purposes program this semester! As the EC intern this semester I will be writing on the blog regularly about any important news or events happening on or near campus! I will be sharing all of my great experiences here at EC along with that of the faculty and students! Fredonia is a friendly atmosphere for students to begin their journey learning English. We provide the support and comfort international students need away from home. I’m excited to start this semester and to begin sharing! See you soon!
