Winter has arrived in Toronto! EC students can see the signs everywhere! We had the famous ice storm before Christmas, and the massive clean-up of fallen trees that resulted. Then we had lots of snow at Christmas, so now we are surrounded by a beautiful winter wonderland! So come to Toronto to learn English and see the magic of winter — and see how we still enjoy the outdoors: skating, skiing, walking, checking out the lights in Dundas Square, drinking hot chocolate, it’s all good fun!
This week EC Toronto celebrated the holidays with a talent show. Each class prepared a short skit or song. There were also individual performers who showed off their talents, including guitar playing and saxophone music. There was a lot of holiday cheer! From all of us at EC Toronto we wish you Happy Holidays!

It really is the most wonderful time of the year! This holiday season put on your parka and head to the Distillery District for the beautiful Christmas Market. Did you know that the tradition of Christmas markets originated in Germany in the 1400s? The Market is open Friday November 29-Sunday December 16. Monday to Friday from noon-9 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10-9 pm. Best of all the Market is easily accessible by the TTC! Don’t miss out on this Toronto experience!
