is presentation will give you a brief history of the First Nations people and contact with Europeans and will then move to the focus of the presentation: one of the greatest horrors to be forced on a people in Canada: Residential Schools. Learn what a residential school is, the purpose and the impact these experiences have had on the modern day First Nations person, and what is being done to address the wrongs. These will be some of the points of discussion: Do you have questions about the history of Europeans and First Nations in Canada? Do you wonder how the governments of Canada have interacted with First Nations peoples since contact? Would you like to know why you see so many First Nations people on the streets?
