Last Friday on the occasion of EC’s Giving Back day, students raised money for charity by hosting the EC World Food Fare.
They prepared food or dishes and sold them to fellow students. The size of the portion and the price was decided on by themselves and the team that made most money got a free Canadian dinner.
The range of food varied from Korean street food, to Brazilian “brigadeiro” to French crepes to German pretzel and so on. Yes, it was as delicious as it sounds! Additionally, beverages were sold and microwaves were available to heat up the food.
About 50 to 60 students joined this unique and international “food festival” and it was a lovely atmosphere, given that everything was for a good cause.
