Winter in Vancouver

Something you don’t hear everyday in Vancouver is that … Winter is as beautiful as the Summer!

Canadians usually says that Vancouver has no winter, that may be true if we’re compared to other Canadian cities! Vancouver is the warmest city in all of Canada.

In winter, Vancouver averages 5 and 0 degrees. The mild temperatures with rare snow brings many students to Vancouver. The daylight in winter usually finishes around 4pm and the sun raises around 8am.

For the winter sports enthusiasts, Vancouver is surrounded by 3 mountains: Grouse, Seymour and Cypress. And they’re all perfect for snowshoeing, Skiing and Snowboarding. Not to mention Whistler, one of the best ski resorts in the world.

In Autumn, the weather starts to change. The days are getting shorter, the rain starts to show up and the cold breeze makes everyone takes their old sweaters out of the wardrobe. Usually, during the Autumn the rain comes almost everyday. You can then plan your indoor activities such as visiting the Vancouver Aquarium, Museums, and many other options Vancouver has to offer.

And finally, the spring….The season for lovers and couples. The rain keeps falling but the flowers are already blooming. The pictures that you always see from Canada becomes real. Orange and red leaves, flowers, and the endless parks and public spaces become charming again. With that being said, the cherry blossom season will then be officially opened!

Vancouver is great and deserves your visit! Every season offers great opportunities and different options of fun activities for everyone!
