EC English Students Help Clean Up National Park

EC Washington English Center Students  Volunteer to Clean National Park

April 22nd is Earth Day, and to raise awareness and do something good for the environment, EC Washington English Center organized a trip to Rock Creek Park- D.C.’s spacious National Park that extends for 1754 acres. Students signed up at school to participate in their Annual Clean-Up, which took place on April 14th. Our Student Services Coordinator, and a group of enthusiastic students met at 11:00 on a Saturday and picked up garbage that had accumulated in the park. There was so much to do! Everyone was supplied with gloves, and bags for both garbage and recycling.

Put down your garbage and smile for a second!

Thankfully, it was a beautiful day outside. EC Washington English Center Students got to see one of D.C.’s best parks, and give back to the local community. People walking through the park stopped to thank us for our time service. This event was a huge success, and we thank everyone who came out to participate; everyone had such a great attitude. You all are the best! We will definitely look into doing this event again next year. It feels good to give back and help make our planet a cleaner, healthier place to live.
