Did you know EC Washington DC is ideally located for students to make the most of their English language learning experience? With our beautiful center next to Farragut Square, we are only a 5 minute walk from the White House and about 10 minutes from the most incredible museums and tourist attractions, such as the National Museum of African American History & Culture. This is one of the most popular attractions in DC, and is not easy to get into – tickets are free but in high demand. We were able to get 8 tickets for our students to go on an impromptu visit this afternoon.
Our students, pictured above, are from Cuba, Venezuela, Japan, and Colombia, and were so excited to explore this amazing (and huge!) museum. They learned about the history of slavery in the US and also learned much about African American culture, including music, movies, art, literature and sports. There is so much to see that they said they will visit again soon!
