Today saw a bonanza of new students saddle up for classes at EC Washington, as we welcomed 8 new students to start their English language courses with us. EC English Washington campus was a hive of activity on Monday morning, with excited new faces buzzing around the school. We can honestly say that today’s intake of new students represents exactly the kind of diverse mix of students that makes studying English with EC such a joy.
Let me see if I can remember all the nationalities we welcomed to the school today…. Chile, Colombia, France, Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, Yemen, and Mexico… to join our already multicultural student body! Where else can you find a group so diverse? The common factor in all of this is the students’ desire to improve their English and to meet people from around the world, becoming part of a global community and reaching their goals.
It’s EC Washington tradition that we take our new students on a short walk around the local area near the school. We are spoiled for choice in this case, as our location happens to be a stone’s throw from the White House, so it is certainly not your ordinary backdrop for a school! It means students are right in the heart of the government and historical center of the United States, giving untold opportunities for our students to explore the city and take advantage of everything it has to offer.
So who are our new students? It’s a diverse bunch, including a 16-year-old student from France, a doctor from Paraguay (but lives in Brazil), a realtor, and a raft of travel enthusiasts. One of the new students is coming to DC for the 3rd time because he loves the city so much! The best thing about EC is that wherever you are from, whatever your age, and whatever your background, you can be united by this learning experience and stay friends forever. It happens all the time! If you’d like to be part of our next group of new students (starting every Monday) then call us at 202-695-7353 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to welcome you to our school!
