This programme is tailor-made for our youngest learners, with accommodation and classrooms located on a safe and comfortable school campus. This lively city is a wonderful place to learn English, and the exciting programme gives young learners a real experience of student life. Everything takes place on campus, in classrooms and accommodation with modern facilities. A varied activity programme shows students the highlights of the city.

English School

Lessons are held on campus at EC Young Learners Ovingdean Hall.

English Course

General English – 20 lessons (15 hours) per week. The course will help improve English language skills by focusing on the key areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing. A strong focus is placed on speech and using the language confidently and fluently.

Lessons are engaging and designed especially for young learners. Teachers aim to satisfy any interest, with a focus on communication to boost students' confidence when using English in practical situations. Regular tests and conversation classes help to ensure that students improve their English as much as possible.

Our dedicated and professional teaching staff provide feedback and support and help students build confidence to speak English.

Accommodation

Summer Camp students will be staying on the campus of Ovingdean Hall College, located in the village of Ovingdean which is only a 25 minute bus ride away from the city centre. The safe and secure residence complex and its extensive property provides excellent facilities.
Ovingdean is a small, formerly agricultural village within the city of Brighton and Hove with a population of about 1200. Ovingdean Hall College has all the facilities for students to study and socialise in.

Room types: Single, twin or triple room (students in a shared rooms stay with students of the same gender)

Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom for Single en-suite room / Shared bathroom (1 bathroom per 4 or 6 students) for twin/triple rooms

Meals

All meals on school days are served on campus, and students are supervised by social leaders. At the weekends students are given a packed lunch.

Breakfast
A selection of cereals, croissants, rolls, preserves, yoghurt, fruit, tea & coffee, fruit juice.

Lunch
Choice of one or two hot dishes (including a vegetarian option), salad, bread roll, yoghurt or fruit dessert, juice or water.

Packed lunch
Packed lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday, and on full-day trips.

Dinner
Choice of one or two hot dishes (including a vegetarian option),mixed salad, bread roll, dessert, yoghurt, juice or water.
