In the news: The BAFTAS

Hollywood A-Listers including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett _1_ the 2014 BAFTAs held at London's Royal Opera House.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAS) are an annual film awards ceremony which reward the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens during the preceding year. They are often considered Britain's _2_ of the Oscar's.

3D space movie 'Gravity' had the biggest success winning six of its 11 nominations, while '12 Years a Slave' did less well than _3_ taking home just two awards. 'American Hustle' also came away with three prizes.

British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor also enjoyed a night to _4_ as he was named Best Actor for his role as kidnap victim Solomon Northup in McQueen's film.

So what do the Bafta results mean for the Academy Awards in March?
