A trip to Lion's Head

Thu, 03/04/2008 - 10:15

This week more than 40 students from EC went up Lion’s Head. Nobody wanted to miss this great possibility to watch two astonishing events of nature. Not only was there a beautiful sunset but also a breathtaking full moon.
Capetonians reported that they have never seen so many people on Lion’s Head as on that
night.

A new teacher—A new Story: Sarah!

Thu, 03/04/2008 - 10:08

Sarah Jones might be the most common name in Britain, but there is nothing common about Sarah Jones, one of EC Cape Town’s great new teachers. She came to Cape Town just to stay for a month and ended up staying for good. Easy to understand since Cape Town seems to be the perfect place to live for Sarah. She doesn’t only love the sound of the ocean but is also willing to spend her last penny for good food – something we have plenty of in our city. With a bachelor’s degree in politics and sociology she came from London to South Africa.

EC Cape Town, established in 2002, is located in a modern purpose-built building in the heart of the city centre. Within the immediate vicinity students will find everything they need, including internet cafés, shops, a post office, sandwich bars and more. All 15 classrooms are fully equipped; many of which have views of Table Mountain. The Café on the ground floor is a perfect place to enjoy a coffee.

Cape Town Turns One

Tue, 29/01/2008 - 11:32

EC Cape Town celebrated it's first birthday on 1 October 2007. At a staff party held at Bar Rouge to celebrate this achievement, our General Manager, Sue Camilleri, said, 'It has been a year of challenges and triumphs but the school is looking extremely good and the team is doing a first class job. I would like to take this chance to thank them for their loyalty, support and dedication during this time. Our greatest triumph has been creating an excellent quality product (100% of our students would recommend us) with a great atmosphere in the most beautiful city in the world.
