EC is very proud to announce its acquisition of a new school! EC New York is now the schools third American school and eighth overall. Following on from the opening of its first American, E Boston, school last year and EC San Diego earlier this year, EC New York is set to become e a popular choice for students.

British Council and EC Competition Winner

EC in collaboration with the British Council in Colombia is proud to announce the winner of it's YouTube GoViralUK competition. In the competition, participants submitted films to YouTube about the importance of learning English for future success. Films were posted to YouTube's GoViralUK channel and six winners were chosen.

EC's Charity Work for the Czech Republic

Five years ago the Czech Republic president, Václav Klaus, and his wife, Liviá, established an endowment fund for disadvantaged children, Nadační fond manželů Livie a Václava Klausových. EC has been privileged to help out this foundation by offering eight scholarships to children sent by the charity to learn English in Malta, Brighton and Cambridge.

Language Travel Magazine - Chain School of the Year

We are very pleased and proud to report that for the second year in a row, EC has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2008 Star Chain School of the year in Language Travel Magazine's Star Awards. The Language Travel Magazine Star Awards are now in their third year and EC has been short-listed in the category of Star Chain School for 2 of those 3 years. The shortlist is usually made up of 5 English language schools from amongst hundreds and the voting is done by thousands of people in the industry from around the world.

A quick reminder that Monday is a national holiday and so EC Boston will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service.

US Ambassador and Andrew Mangion

A press conference was held today to announce to the assembled television and print media that EC has acquired a new school in San Diego. The press conference held in EC Malta was well attended by the Maltese media and also Maltese dignitaries including the US Ambassador, Molly Bordonaro.   EC Chief Executive, Andrew Mangion, announced that EC is looking to strengthen its presence in America by opening more schools in the near future. Exciting times for EC. Watch this space!!

Happy Students

We were here in 2007 for 3 weeks at EC Malta. The school is very efficient and we have a good improvement in our English skills. We decided to come back in 2008 for another stay. The friendly and polite teachers and staff have given us always a helping hand or good advice.
