Katya’s Advanced ESL class produced a magazine with articles on a variety of topics, including profiles of famous people and inventions.  Here are a few of the articles, for your reading pleasure!  The first article describes a biodigester, a machine that can generate energy from agricultural waste.  Two other articles offer profiles of musicians Roger Keith Barrett and Bob Marley.

Yesterday Uno’s Pizzeria, downstairs from EC Boston, celebrated its 30th anniversary by treating every customer to free lunch, drinks, and dessert.  Paul brought his TOEFL class down and they enjoyed a leisurely lunch while practicing TOEFL speaking and writing topics.  

At noon, Boston’s Mayor, Thomas Menino, showed up to congratulate Uno’s, and had his picture taken with the TOEFL students!
