Any plans for next Friday?
EC Boston recommends Enjoy Free Fun Fridays!!
Fun Free Fridays is a summer program that gives you free admission to different Massachusetts attractions every Friday during the summer, with no registration or tickets needed.
MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
465 Huntington Ave – Boston
BUTTONWOOD PARK ZOO
Hawthorn Street – New Bedford
EDWARD GOREY HOUSE
8 Strawberry Lane – Yarmouth Port
The Fourth of July is almost upon us, and soon enough, masses of people will be planting their feet, seats and picnic baskets by the Charles to take in the annual Boston Pops outdoor concert. Since the fireworks are shot off on the Charles River in between the Harvard and Longfellow bridges, either bridge will provide you with awesome views.
However, EC Boston recommends the Harvard Bridge (Mass. Ave.) though, since it is often slightly less crowded than the Longfellow.
Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and you’ll be all set. Better yet, pick up a box of pastries from Mike’s in the North End to enjoy!
Congratulations to Doohun “Juanito” Hwang on being chosen for the first-ever “ECelebrity of the Month”!
Juanito is from Korea and has been studying here at EC Boston since March 2011.
Here are some of things that people said with their nomination of Juanito:
“He is very reliable, trustworthy, kind, and friendly. That is why I choose him”
“He is the one! Everybody knows him. He speaks Spanish almost like a native speaker. He is awesome!”
“Because he is the soul of the party! Juanito makes us happy everyday.”
Juanito will be our ECelebrity for the month of July and will attend events through out the month.
If you or someone you know would be a great ECelebrity, let us know!
Applications for the August ECelebrity will be accepted until July 22nd. Pick up an application at the front desk.
EC Boston had our monthly “Busted Raffle” today and Vanessa ended up being the winner of a new iPod Shuffle!
Students receive a raffle ticket from teachers or EC Boston staff when they hear the student speaking english with other students. The more they practice their english, the more chances to get tickets for the raffle.
