Magdalena from Switzerland passed her CAE exam!

Last December, all the students from the CAE and FCE classes took part in their different Cambridge exams. One of our student, Magdalena, successfully passed her CAE exam. She’s still at English School EC Cape Town to achieve a new goal, the CPE exam. Her teacher Samia wanted to express her happiness about Magdalena’s success: “Magdalena Rychly joined my CAE Preparation Course in September 2014 with one goal in mind – to achieve a ‘B’ symbol (75–79%) in her CAE exam. She soon proved to be a bright and determined student; and with hard work, diligent attendance, excellent class participation – and a lot of homework and reading – she comfortably achieved her aim. She’s now enrolled in the CPE class, where I’m sure she’ll do equally well. Congratulations and good luck, Magdalena!” Magdalena also wanted to show her gratitude to her teacher: “I really appreciated the 12 weeks with my teacher Samia in the CAE course. She gave me the preparation and the confidence to achieve my goal. I would like to thank her for the great job she did. “ In addition of the Cambridge exams, the school also offer the possibility to take part in the IELTS courses in Cape Town, which are part of English courses for education and exams offered at EC Cape Town! __________________________________ Remember to follow us on Facebook or Twitter RELATED BLOG POSTS Student’s testimonial – Kokoro from Japan Student that has come and gone

Student’s testimonial – Kokoro from Japan

Kokoro Yoshimatsu is our only Japanese student at English School EC Cape Town where she took part in general English lessons. Today is her last day and she would like to share about her stay to study English in South Africa: “I return to the studies, I am 37 years old!” “At first, I even felt a sense of guilt. But it was changed when the life of EC started. At EC School, there are various students, age, position. Nationality are all different! Even some “Mum students”! Many teachers, friends and people who I met in Cape Town taught me : “It is not too late in the life.” And I have met many students from Africa, Middle East, South America, the person who I didn’t have much in Japan. We talked about each culture, outlook on religion and thought to each country. It was a wonderful experience!” __________________________________ Remember to follow us on Facebook or Twitter RELATED BLOG POSTS Student that has come and gone Another Friday, another graduation ceremony

A letter of gratitude from Otman

Last year, Otman Altalis from Libya arrived to learn the English language in South Africa. He completed his time studying at English School EC Cape Town for 7 months and kindly wrote us a letter of gratitude with a drawing to show his appreciation of the school. ” It is a small gift for EC School that is my mother in South Africa. I can’t forget it when I arrived here I didn’t understand any word, but now I can speak with people. I extend my greetings to EC School every moment. Thank you for your concern. EC School is sunrise in my opinion. “ Dear Otman, we are really happy that you enjoyed your stay at EC and we wish you all the best for your future! __________________________________ Remember to follow us on Facebook or Twitter RELATED BLOG POSTS A poem for an awesome teacher EC Cape Town’s new intern
