Fun free things to do when you study English in Toronto

When you’re planning to take an English course in Toronto, you’re probably thinking about all the great things the city has to offer and living the Canadian dream, even if for a short period. Canada can be as expensive as it is expansive, but one of the best things about Toronto is that there are always free events and activities taking place. So keep reading to find out how you learn English in Toronto on a budget.  

In the summer, you can enjoy free concerts in the park, or take a stroll through one of the city’s many green spaces. During the winter, there are plenty of festive events to enjoy, from tree lighting ceremonies to outdoor markets. No matter what time of year it is, there’s always something going on in Toronto that won’t cost you a dime. 

If you’re looking for free things to do indoors especially in the winter months, it is good to know the city is home to some of Canada’s best museums, including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario, both of which offer free admission on certain days of the week. There are also numerous historic sites and landmarks that you can visit for free, such as Casa Loma and the Fort York National Historic Site. There’s lots of life underground the city where the temperature is ambient and where the snow doesn’t hinder activities.
