Increased Interest in Irish Universities for International Students

Sharing is caring!

Choosing a university can be daunting; course, reputation, lifestyle, accommodation, distance from home, climate and costs are all factors to consider. There is of course, also the language spoken in lectures / in the locale, and if that is something you need to work on, you should start to learn as soon as you have created your shortlist.

Many universities teach in English, including non-English speaking countries, so do check this out. In Germany, for example, many teach in English, so a certain proficiency level is required, but you will also have to pass a German language exam to be considered for a place. One country which has admissions growing year on year is Ireland. With an 11% growth in admissions in the last academic year, according to ICEF Monitor, over 35,000 international students applied to study there. Learning English in Dublin is one way of testing out the lifestyle and familiarising yourself with where you want to study too.
